October joint regional water planning council meeting: management practices panel discussions
On October 6, 2010, all 11 of the Regional Water Councils met jointly at the Macon State College Conference Center to discuss a range of shared water resources topics and to discuss planned solutions. This joint meeting:
- Provided a forum for all Councils to discuss shared issues and solutions
- Served as an informational session related to proposed management practices
- Allowed the Councils to begin to integrate solutions into regional and statewide perspectives and work towards implementation.
- Assisted both Council and EPD in meeting their responsibilities related to coordination across planning region boundaries for water resources that are hydrologically connected or those affected by water management activities in adjacent planning regions.
